The school curriculum comprises of both scholastic and co-scholastic area.

Scholastic Areas of Assessment:

The scholastic areas of assessment covers the academic performance of the students, based on day to day evaluation formative assessment, class tests, unit tests, half yearly examination, annual examination etc. It focuses on developing different skills of the students viz, listening, speaking, reading, writing, assimilation of ideas and concepts, reasoning, analyzing, calculating, etc.

Co-scholastic Areas of Assessment:

The co-scholastic areas of assessment includes general knowledge, environmental studies, gardening, physical education, art, dance and music, computer education, educational tours and excursions, field trip, summer camps and club activiies. The school also organizes various competitions such as quiz, debate, drama, recitation, seminars to instill social responsibility, leadership quality, empathy, fellow feelings and patriotism among the students. The students are assessed on the basis of their acquired qualities.

THe Assam Rifles Public School (MS) Phundrei, previously known as Assam Rifles Jr. High School, Thoubal, was established on 5th Feb 1989 under the Chairmanship of Col. I. J. Singh at Thoubal Town.
